Vvlad

Introduction

I am one of the ancients on #wicca - but don't seem to know it. My guiding principles are Love, Honor, and Trust. All three words have enough definitions that I can squeeze anything I feel is important under one or two of them. I am an unsatiable reader, and am facinated with the workings of the world (physics) and the human mind (myths, religion, some psychology, cognition). I am also a radical feminist. And I occasionally cause people to become confused.

Practice

Publicly, I participate in Wiccan rites. Drumming frenzies and mosh pits at punk concerts work well for entrancement in public venues. I walk and chant. I wander the paths in the hills. At home I meditate or drum to myself. Gave up sleep so I can spend the rest of my time on #wicca. I recently was intoduced to Aikido, which meshes well with my guiding principles.

Tradition

My tradition is both Hodge and Podge. I was thinking that I might say I had a different tradition for each day of the week, but realized there were not enough days in the week. So here is a list, not in any particular order.

Esoteric: I put this first to cover anything I forgot! Includes daily practice of believing at least six impossible things before breakfast. Days I don't eat breakfast can get really weird. I just make it up as I go!
Discordian: I was enlightened by Eris while reading the Illuminatus trilogy many moons ago. Probably before you were even born.
Buddhist: Mahayana and Vajrahana, with my own perspective.
Kundilini Yoga: Received shaktipat completely unexpectedly. Explorations continue on this path.
Shamanist: Possibly not in a classical sense - but private practice smells of shamanism. Yes, I do experience synaesthesia.
Taoist: Those that say, don't know. Those that know, don't say.
Heinleinist: And remember, those stories were not to be taken as something gospel, but to make us think.
Unitarian: Be good to others, be good to the world, respect those who differ from you, and let's help each other on our individual paths. How can you go wrong?
Intuitive: Casts spells effectively with no forethought.
Faerie: not as in Faerie Wicca. An amalgamation of everything I've read and thought about the world next door, legends, myths, fiction, glimpses out the edge of my eye. There is something there...
