Welcome to Hummies Cave.

First the usual details. I am a 49 year old Australian Aboriginal Eclectic Wiccan. Wow what a combination.

But the story continues, my Dad is NZ Maori with an Irish father, so a real mix of cultures whizzes through the blood. So I am a Solitary Eclectic Wiccan with Aboriginal and Polynesian influences, a potent though sometimes confusing mix.

One example is that Aboriginal belief has the moon as a male deity. Do I hear my fellow wiccans gasping *grin*.

However I am magnanimous so either is ok by me and I do tend to call on the silver lady in solitary rituals, albeit with a quick apology under the breath to the Aboriginal Sky Beings.

I am drawn towards the celtic pantheon, Irish in particular and my special deities are Danu of the Sight and Lugh of the Light, and of course Kernunnos, the old horned one and Tane Mahuta, the NZ Lord of the Forest.

My Totem is Bunjil the eaglehawk.

My mother is Tasmanian Aboriginal, a people who were almost all wiped out in the Colonial period here by the guns of the white invaders, so as a result no full bloods in Tasmania survived. However we keep the culture alive, and Aboriginal society doesn't count by the amount of blood, but rather by the way people identify and hold to our culture.

I wandered onto #wicca about two years ago when I was new to the net, and never left really, I found that wicca sung to me and matched many of my beliefs already. One day I realised that a osmosis had set in and I had become wiccan. So I dedicated and initiated in a solitary ritual. I'm too anarchic to go the coven route *grin*.

I have recently been retired from our Civil Service so have plenty of time to spend on channel. You can find me there most days sparring and flirting with our bevy of wiccan beauties.
