Yes, I'm a Christian (Pentecostal) :).
Officially, I'm not affiliated with any church, though. There is too much hypocrisy and inconsistencies in organized religion to make it worth the bother. Instead, I prefer to worship independently, only very occasionally attending a service. In order to understand more about the people around me, I try to keep an open-minded approach. That's one of the reasons that I like the undernet channel Wicca, the ppl there accept you as an individual, not as some sheep following the herd. Even if someone isn't a Christian, there isn't much about Jesus's life that one could disrespect. He taught us to love and have respect for each other. I believe his teachings could go right along with Wiccan teachings without clashing, but enough said on this.
Despite my beliefs, there are just too many things that are not explained in the Bible. Years ago, my uncle told me about his experiences with "astral projection". Of course, I was skeptical - until I bought a book on the subject. After a few weeks of training, I had my first OBE, which scared the hell out of me! Although I haven't "travelled" to any distant planes like my uncle, I'm still amazed with the experiences.
On the academic/job side, I graduated from College of the Sequoias, a small community college. It was difficult going back to school, being a high school drop-out, but I felt the need to improve. I obtained an A.S. in computers, and presently run the Language Arts Computer Lab at the college. There are about 50 machines here that are hooked into a Novell file server - anyone out there with networking experience can tell you how fun it is (yeah, right!) :)
Truth is as varied as the number of people on the planet. Accept this, and those many truths will be yours... - ok, so I just made that up...
