My name is Maranatha (an Aramaic word meaning "The Lord is Coming" - yeah, father was a preacher) DuRousseau (I dunno - it's French *grin*). As for my age, I was born May 8th (Taurus) - you figure out the rest (nope, I'm not revealing my age - a gal's gotta have *some* mystery about her!)!! I was born in Oakland, CA and have lived in a few other states; but Lafayette, Louisiana wound up becoming "home" since age seven (trust me - not by choice). I've been online now since about November of '93 and been addicted ever since. :)

As far as "religion" is concerned, I've only just recently labeled myself Wiccan (summer of '95), however my beliefs have always been very "Pagan" in nature. I was born and raised x-ian, although it never seemed to "fit" who I was and what I was about - took me a long time to realize and accept that there truly was more than one "truth" for everyone; but when I did, and discovered Paganism, I realized I had finally "come home". I'm certainly not a traditionalist, and as much as I hate labels, I feel I should give some general idea of where I am spiritually. I guess you could say right now I'm a solitary new-age eclectic "lightworker" of a Wiccan. *smile* My "magickal" name is AngelDove TearSong - kinda long but it works for me *giggles*. "Angel" - a personal experience with an angel who lead me to finally truly discovering the great Goddess... "Dove" - my spirit/power animal, the messenger, and symbol of peace... "Tear" - a symbol of great emotion... "Song" - a constant, powerful source of emotion, strength, and healing to me for as long as I can remember...

"So just what do you DO", you ask? Good question. I lost my life somewhere on the net - I figure a cyberdog ate it by now - I'm just about to give up hope. *grin* But seriously (okay well I _was_ serious but anyway...), I work part-time, may even go back to school sometime this year (former music media major, switching to...?)...I read (nonfiction murder mysteries and fiction like Stephen King and Robin Cook, mostly - and of course pagan material :), write/play music (piano and flute), watch movies (I'm a movie freak), aerobicize (look out Jane Fonda), and even go out dancing from time to time... Oh - and of course I'm *always* online - Now, can you guess what irc channel I frequent most? Hrm... *grin* Some other hobbies include divination - I read tarot and runes, and am still trying to figure this pendulum of mine out *giggles*. Some of my interests are: neopaganism in general, shamanism, voudon, astral projection, herbalism, crystal magick, scrying, etc. etc. - you get the idea... *grin*
