where to start!. hmmm. well - unlike many of you, i am australian. i live in melbourne, doing postgrad studies in geology. as a balance to my life, i also spend a lot of time involved in theatre (stage managing, lighting design, producing, acting (in order of preference ;) )).
the name? well, the story's kinda long. some people guess "bisexual wiccan" which is now more appropriate than it was when i started using it. i used to use bitch as a nick on irc in the olden days, until a usa'n lady started tarnishing my immaculate reputation with it, so i derived biccan from bitch in the same way wicca and witch are used. boring? maybe. i got to like the name for itself rather than its meaning and that why it stuck.
i'm vegan, and i live alone with an orange tabby cat. her name is jasper, and she allows me to sleep in her bed so long as i feed her regularly and give her the attention she deserves. some people dont understand how a vegan can live with a carnivore. i lived in a catholic household for 18 years - dont ask me to justify that either ;)
i like reading, particularly sci fi of the lackey/mccaffery/guon/brin /clarke/asimov variety, and more esoteric literature too. i love purple and dark green candles, the scent of ylang ylang, sinking into deep baths, solitary walks on beaches, trails of meteors, amatuer astronomy, lying down to watching clouds flow, singing from my lungs, dancing with friends, helping to heal, flirting with people that intrigue me, talking to anyone, cooking for 12, putting my hands to work massaging, exploring caves and other cultures.
i'm kinda new to the wiccan thing. i'm still very much learning about it, and not yet entirely comfortable in any one "version" i've seen. i'm still kinda feeling my way through things. any wiccans i'm melbourne i would _love_ to hear from you. i'm have trouble finding anyone...
